What is an electronic cigarette?
The electronic cigarette, otherwise known as the e-cigarette, is an innovative and revolutionary new device that can change the way people view smoking. Composed of just three parts – the atomizer, the battery and the mouthpiece or e cigarette cartridge – the e-cigarette is powered up with a wall, USB, or car charger and emits vapor from what is called “E Liquid” rather than smoke. It is absent the thousands of chemicals, toxins, carcinogens, and cancer-causing agents typically found in traditional tobacco cigarettes, making the e-cigarette the smarter choice to alternative smoking!
Are electronic cigarettes safer?
We can tell you it is a smarter choice! The smoke of a traditional tobacco cigarette contains over 4,000 chemicals, and approximately 69 of them are actually acknowledged to cause cancer.
On the other hand, the e-cigarette e liquid solution contains but 10 to 20 ingredients, depending on the manufacturer and the model. Furthermore, you won’t have to worry about ashes or the putrid smell of cigarette smoke.
Can I quit smoking with e cigarettes?
The FDA has not approved the e cigarette as a smoking cessation product.
What is e liquid and how will it help me?
E Liquid is what produces the vapor that looks and acts like smoke when “smoking” an electronic cigarette. You can place about 5-8 drops into a used Fusion cartomizer and reuse it repeatedly until the heating element inside renders non-functional.
It is made of 3 basic products for the most part: nicotine, water and propylene glycol. Everyone knows what water is, so no need to explain that one. Propylene glycol is a common ingredient that is found in thousands of foods in your supermarket, one of which is cake mix. It is also found on the FDA GRAS list (GRAS = generally recognized as safe). Nicotine is the third main ingredient, and it is found in tobacco cigarettes at almost 10 times the amount of what you find in 7 “puffs” from an electronic cigarette. The average smoker takes 7 puffs from a tobacco cigarette while smoking. So even with “high” nicotine, you are getting less nicotine, yet getting the same effect because it is in water vapor rather than a burnt substance.
E Liquid will save you loads of money because you can refill your own cartridges and cut the cost of using your e cigarette in half from the cost of buying cartridges in packs of 5 as we and other stores sell them.

What are the 3 components of a Firelight Micro e cigarette?
An atomizer is the heating element of the e-cigarette that heats up the e-liquid and turns it into vapor. The atomizer can come in various shapes and sizes. The vapor is then inhaled and then exhaled.
The cartridge contains the liquid solution that turns into the vapor. The liquid solution can come in a variety of flavors and various nicotine strengths, including no nicotine.
The battery resembles the longest part of a cigarette and powers up your e-cigarette so that you can use it in the first place. Most e cigarette models will have an LED light at the tip of the battery to simulate burning when it is used.
What are the 2 components of a Firelight Fusion e cigarette?
The two components are the battery and the cartomizer, a hybrid atomizer and refill cartridge part. The battery is the longest white piece that is rechargeable and provides power. Unlike the Firelight Micro, which features a separate atomizer and refill cartridge, the Firelight Fusion’s cartomizer contains both.
If the e cigarette emits no smoke, then what is that I see?
It is vapor, and it evaporates into the air within seconds. Unlike traditional cigarettes, the vapor is odorless and will not cause you, your clothing, or your home to smell like an ashtray.
How do I care for my atomizer?
You will eventually need to replace your atomizer, and its life depends on how often you use your e-cigarette. A clear indication to replace your atomizer is when you notice that the flavor given off by the e-liquid seems less full or less satisfying.
To extend the life of your atomizer, make sure you have enough e-liquid in the refill cartridge every time you use it. Allowing the cartridge to dry out will cause the atomizer to overheat, greatly reducing its lifespan.
Prevent the atomizer from overheating by taking natural breaks between every few puffs, making sure there is always liquid in the refill cartridge so the atomizer has something to vaporize, and avoiding hard-strength drags. For the Firelight, the drags taken need to be very soft and slow while the other models require about a medium-strength drag.
If the atomizer appears it is not working, it is either dead or its center contact is not touching the battery contact properly. The center contacts on both units are located where they screw together. There is a small metal disc (center contact) surrounded by a rubber material. With a small paper clip, gently pry the center contact, being careful not to pull too hard or the grommet holding the atomizer will pop out. You can also do this to the battery. Replace the two units and try again. If the atomizer is still cold after use, then it may need to be replaced.
How do I care for my battery?
Charge the battery according to the instructions that accompany your kit. To prevent liquid leakage into your battery, store your e cigarette in an upright position with the battery end pointing upward and the refill cartridge on the bottom to keep the liquid inside of the refill cartridge and to prevent it from traveling to the e cigarette’s other parts.
The life of a single battery depends on each manufacturer and model as well as personal usage, care and handling. The amount of units that needs replacing will greatly depend on the individual. For example, one can replace a battery or atomizer component 5-6 times/month, while another can 5-6 times/year.
How long does a refill cartridge last?
The lifespan of a cartridge varies among the different brands because of several factors: e-cigarette size, atomizer size, how the user takes draws, how often the e cigarette is used, etc. The amount of cigarette equivalents/puffs you get from each cartridge varies so much from each individual because of these factors.
Typically, a single Firelight Micro cartridge can yield anywhere from 20-40 puffs, which is roughly 2-4 cigarettes, and a Firelight Fusion cartomizer can yield 100-200+ puffs. Please note these figures are estimates and will vary with individual use and factors such as lung capacity, drag strength, drag length, handling, and maintenance.
